Meet Kevin Dennis – Voice Over Star

Canadian actor and voice-over artist Kevin Dennis, has ascended up the ranks of the North American voice-over community, working consistently as a leading actor for cartoon TV shows and feature films.  His next high profile gig in the U.S. comes with the premiere of Tabaluga – a brand new 3D animated feature film distributed by Global Screen. The German version of the film sold over 500,000 tickets when it premiered in December 2018, prompting the sale of the English version to 50 territories worldwide. The English version was cast and voice-recorded in Toronto, using the top voice-over talent in the country.

Based on the TV series of the same name, Tabagula aired in more than 100 territories, including France (TF1), U.K. (Nickelodeon), U.S. (Fox Family) and Australia (Fox Kids). In Germany, Tabaluga is a popular household brand, with hundreds of licensed products and books for children and families. Tabaluga is also the main character of a popular musical show in Germany, complete with five albums, selling more than six million copies to date.

For the English version, Kevin was selected out of hundreds of actors to play Tabulaga’s insect-sidekick, “Bully”, a pivotal supporting character in the film. Kevin also lent his formidable singing voice to the project, providing lead vocals for Bully’s songs, alongside additional group vocals for the soundtrack. The album will be available worldwide shortly after the world premiere of the English version of the film.

Kevin is no stranger to playing ‘bugs’ in animation projects. He voiced the character of “Goldbug” for all 102 episodes of Busytown Mysteries (Hurray For Huckle!), based on the popular Richard Scarry books. The cartoon still plays in syndication worldwide, including on CBS’ coveted Saturday morning cartoon block. Busytown Mysteries also streams worldwide on Netflix and Youtube. Kevin’s additional animated roles on TV include recurring roles for Cartoon Network’s Beyblade: Metal Fusion (6 episodes) and Redakai (13 episodes). He has voiced guest star roles on Cyberchase (PBS), Totally Spies (Cartoon Network) and Super Why! (PBS).
